Yay for visitors! Nathan's parents came to visit this weekend. We had a great time. It was so fun to show them around. The weekend was quite exhausting--we packed the adventures in! I thoroughly enjoyed being a tourist in my own town, again reminded of how much there is to do! We heard them describe our new town and their experiences as "interesting" on more than one occasion. The word "interesting" had a positive connotation with it, at least I think so anyway. Its definitely different than a farm and was a totally new experience for our visitors. I have been beginning to adjust and had forgotten some of the "culture shock" that accompanies a move. Their reactions reminded me again of how other people's lives are quite different from my own. I hope they have a better understanding of where we are living, and I have a new
appreciation again of how life goes on outside my corner. I am thankful and humbled that I can say it is good to see family. I know not everyone shares the same sentiment. Nathan and I have been blessed by God to have supportive, encouraging, funny, and friendly families. Its rather refreshing.
