For some reason, I have decided to do a blog. It is kind of hard for me to know where to start. Its not that I think my life (or Nathan's life) is so interesting that everyone needs to read about it, but it may be nice for people who are interested to keep track of the small moments of our lives right now. I've finally done it. It might give me some productive use of my time . You never know!
Nathan and I moved to Colorado about 1 1/2 years ago. Nathan began the journey that is graduate school pursuing his degree in structural engineering at CSU. I began the journey that is long term care social work, working a nursing home/rehabilitation center. Nathan looks to graduate sometime this summer (hopefully May, June-ish.) And I hope to go back to school for a MSW. Full time work has been great, but in this area, and about most larger cities a BSW will only give limited employment opportunities. Plus I love learning and social work. I am waiting for one reference letter, then I should have everything I need to turn in for my graduate school application. Then we wait. It is kind of an exciting time for us right now- we just don't know where we will be in 6 months. If all goes well, Nathan gets a job locally and I get into graduate school. If God has a different plan, we may just end up moving to Kansas City or Balitmore or Seattle or Nashville. Who knows- that is the exciting part.
But there I go again, planning way too much for the future- I've still got a good six months in Fort Collins Colorado, working at Lemay Avenue Health and Rehab. Don't get ahead of yourself girl, there is life to be lived right at this moment.
